Nagkadugay nagkawalay kwenta ang mga makita nako na post sa fb. Is it me? or daghan lang jud kog friends na bored or nonsense. If it weren't for the friends I treasure whom I still want to get in touch with and see their pictures, dugay na nako gi deactivate akong account. Pero tong mga friends na gusto unta nako makita sa fb, sila na nuon ang wala naga update sa newsfeed. Could it be that they're just doing the same as me, nagmamasid, nag-babadya. hahah.
But anyway, I still value physical interaction rather than virtual. I miss the time when people who misses you will really put all the effort just to see you. Physical energy that time is a necessity since you cant accomplish anything without using both your hands and feet in full harmony. Interaction with people will require all your sensory nerves to work. You have to give that genuine smile if you feel happy, or give your fierce look if you're mad, just to express what you really feel. Unlike today, people can fake emotions easily, you can get carried away by that sweet words from somebody. In just few presses on keyboard, you've been robbed of heart. In that simple, haha or lol or rofl, whatever abbreviations, emoticons there is, you've been fooled of emotions.
In special occasions, a greeting became a cheap one liner message in the screen. Introverts becoming more introverts. And a day could get by even without saying a word to someone, just sending message through IMs.
I went on a vacation recently and tried not to connect online. With disconnected wifi and shut down laptop, I gain so much good memories and interactions. I have accomplished a lot using my stored energy. Aside from that, I gained confidence, looking at the beauty of people passing by, walking around not needing to check at my phone every time. I built strong relationship ties with my companion. And it felt so good. Its a rest from hard deadlines, inevitable comparison to what your friends have become, nonsense excitement you get from notification or likes, sore eyes you get from monitor staring, spoiled saliva, butt-aches from too much sitting and a lot more.
Well, Im not saying that Technology is bad, it actually done a lot of good. Instant messaging and texts has been a big help to maintaining good communication with my partner. But too much of it makes somebody miss many things life can offer.
Right now, Im just waiting for my time out in the office, I finished all my tasks and also done double checking it. I feel so bored, its times like these I wanna go out and ride a bike or swim or just go sight seeing. But I freaking don't have a choice, so I decided to kill the time by writing this entry from my head.
